Finally, there are fishing tours and charters in the Galapagos Islands and we are the only company with a permit to do so, after extreme consideration by the Galapagos authorities together with the AIM, which is the entity that regulates all activities related to fishing and tourism in the Galapagos, fishing tours are now allowed under world-class environmental controls and regulations; one of them being that sport-fishing trips can only be guided by local, active fishermen in order to stop out of season fishing and the illegal capture of species such as sharks, and seacucumbers.
According to the Galapagos National Park service, fishing boats must comply with very strict regulations, one of them being the size of the boat. According to these rules, boats taking anglers on fishing tours can not be longer than 30 feet making all of them all very similar but at the same time comfortable for a full day charter.
In accordance with the sport fishing laws in the Galapagos, our guides include locals and our captain has been performing this activity as a means of survival for the past 25 years. This allows him to take you to the best fishing spots. Also, an English speaking naturalist guide licensed by the Galapagos National Park is available to share his knowledge about the water life.
